PSA: Pet Owners Are Warned To Not Walk Their Dogs On Hot Surfaces, Such As Asphalt. As a simple rule of thumb, if you wouldn't want to walk barefoot on it, then your dog shouldn't be walking on it. Place the back of your hand on the hot surface for 7 seconds. If it is painful to your touch, it will be too hot for your dog's paws. If you must walk your dog on surfaces that are exposed to the sun, purchase doggie boots for your dog. They will protect their feet from the heat.

COVID-19 Impact: We are following strict CDC and Governor Sisolak guidelines.

New classes are posted on the website with the new start dates. We hope everyone will be understanding and know that the new classes will start just as soon as the current ones are finished. We will be practicing social distancing of 6 feet, and suggesting that students wear masks when possible. SmartyPaws has hand sanitizer and wipes and regularly cleans public areas. Our Day Care and Boot Camp clients will continue to drop off and pick up at curbside until further notice. Please be mindful when coming in and leaving the building between classes that we do not crowd the door entrance. We may have to ask you to wait outside to allow the previous class to leave the building in a safe manner before entering SmartyPaws. We love and appreciate all of our clients and their amazing dogs and want to make this a positive and safe experience for everyone.

Our Russell Rd Day Care and Boot Camp is only open on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for now, until further notice.

Our New Southwest location at 4544 W. Russell Rd. is 1 block East of Decauter Rd and 1 mile West of I-15. We are located in the Diablo Industrial Center. You will find us on Google Maps.

Updated shots and a negative fecal test that is at least 6 months recent is required for all classes the first day, also including day care and boot camp.
**Please note that there are NO refunds once class has started. If you are unable to attend a week of a class, we will be happy to provide you with one "make up" class if possible.**

Note: Any dogs one year and older must have a current DHPP vaccine (done every 1 or 3 years depending on your vets protocol) and rabies done according to state law. While we strive to keep everyone healthy, there are limitations to the bordatella vaccine and fecal checks. With bordatella, your dog can still get the disease, just a milder case. Typically bordatella is not life threatening. When a fecal exam is performed, they are only looking at a small amount of the stool sample under the microscope, so a negative fecal does not guarantee that your dog (or others in your class) are truly negative.

Starting March 1st, 2019 private training sessions will be $125/hour, or a 4 private session package for $400, or $80 per hour at the SmartyPaws training center.
